HealthDrive is currently seeking a Provider Support Aide to work full-time (5 days per week) in the Houston, TX area.
HealthDrive delivers on-site dentistry, optometry, podiatry and audiology to residents in long-term care, skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. Each specialty offered by HealthDrive is one that directly impacts the quality of daily life for the deserving residents we serve. HealthDrive connects patients in need of vital healthcare to doctors committed to dignity and excellence.
Provider Support Aides are responsible for the safe transportation of patients, equipment and other items throughout long-term care facilities. Provider Support Aides also provide one-to-one or close observation for patients.
Individual must have the ability to work effectively and respectfully with patients, providers, co-workers, and long term care facility personnel.
Must have pleasant, professional demeanor with ability to work effectively independently
and must also be able to follow direction.
Must possess excellent customer service skills.
Must have the ability to work with patients with varying cognitive abilities
and who may be at high risk to fall.
Experience working in a healthcare setting is a plus but not required.
The ability to listen, interact and communicate effectively with all levels of
staff, patients, and visitors is required.
Ability to push patients in wheelchairs or mobile beds (weight varies due to weight of bed/chair plus weight of patient).
Ability to assist patients while they walk down a hallway, up and down stairs,
up and down ramps, around corners or into and out of elevators.
Ability to bend, twist and climb.
Standing for long periods of time (6-8 hours at a time).
Must have physical ability to move quickly throughout site as needed.
To qualify for this role the individual must have a minimum of a high school degree or GED.
Must have a valid Drivers License and good driving record
