    HealthDrive is currently seeking an Audiologist, to work Part-Time (2 Days per Week), in the Eastern Connecticut/Rhode Island area.

We provide on-site, dignified medical care for the very deserving elderly patients residing in nursing homes and assisted living facilities

    Responsibilities

    The Audiologist will provide general audiology services to the residents of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long term care facilities within an assigned territory.

     

    Essential Functions:

    • Conducts comprehensive diagnostic audiological examinations, hearing aid evaluations, hearing aid selections, repair and/or consultation.
    • Performs cerumen management.
    • Dispenses and adjusts new hearing aids.
    • Communicates in a positive, service oriented manner patients, families, administrators, support staff, etc.
    • Enters patient information and completes required clinical documentation in the electronic medical record.
    • Maintains proper patient files and records as mandated by state and HIPAA laws.
    • Responsible for applying proper coding guidelines and indicating appropriate billing codes for services provided to patients.

    Qualifications

    Education & Qualifications:

    • Masters or Doctorate Degree in Audiology
    • Required C.C.C. –A classification from ASHA
    • Current State professional license
    • Valid driver’s license

     

    Skills:

    • Audiology background with proficiency in diagnostic evaluation of hearing, prevention, rehabilitation services for auditory problems and dispensing hearing aids.
    • Ability to work independently on a daily basis.
    • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
    • Ability to use email, the internet and to learn other healthcare related software.
