    HealthDrive is a Practice Management Company that connects long term care residents with vital health care.  The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for managing the day-to-day Human Resources function as it relates to leaves administration; employee and provider on- and off-boarding; staff recruiting; compliance; and employee-related communications. Additionally, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the day to day administration of benefits programs, including health and welfare plans, the Company 401(k), short-term disability and FSA plans, and Workers’ Compensation and Unemployment.  **Must be willing to travel to both our Wellesley/Framingham offices and our West Springfield office**


    • Administration related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance in accordance with various state and federal employment laws.
    • Administrates benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and terminations; administers COBRA; provides benefits information to employees as needed; initiates and maintains timely communication with Payroll re: benefit deductions; and reviews and submits monthly medical, dental, 401(k) and other bills to Accounts Payable.
    • Manages administration of annual benefits open enrollment and processes all enrollment additions, changes, and terminations.
    • Recruits staff (non-provider), including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates in conjunction with hiring managers. Performs reference checking and other verifications.
    • Participates in staff and provider onboarding, including: drafting and sending offer letters and related paperwork; conducting new hire orientations; and sending new hire announcements for staff. Also handles staff and provider off-boarding, including conducting exit interviews.
    • Conducts Background Checks.
    • Processes staff and provider hires, changes and terminations by completing appropriate paperwork and submitting to Payroll timely.
    • Assists in creating and communicating all-company employee and/or provider communications; new and existing Company policy information; and other information as needed.
    • Runs monthly and ad hoc provider/employee and benefits-related reports and provides other miscellaneous company data as requested.
    • Opens and follows up on Workers’ Compensation claims as needed.
    • Responds to Unemployment claims as appropriate; participates in Unemployment hearings as needed.
    • Participates in quarterly 401(k) committee meetings for fund performance and plan review.
    • Maintains compliance by assisting with or filing annual 5500 for 401(k) plan.
    • Reports annual EEO-1 data; completing and posting annual OSHA log; posting and updating all employment law related posters.
    • Manages building/office access card program: distributes new and replacement access cards to employees, communicates card updates to building management.
    • Maintains personnel files.

    Other duties and tasks may be assigned as appropriate or necessary.


    This individual must have  the following:

    - Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

    - Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.

    -Working knowledge of multi-state employment laws, including FMLA, Workers’ Compensation, COBRA, and Unemployment.
    -Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.

    -Computer skills including Windows; MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint; and web-based payroll and benefits programs. ADP experience is a plus.

    - Experience in the administration of benefits including medical, dental, 401k, FSA, STD, and COBRA preferred.


    To qualify for this role the individual must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of direct or related experience.  PHR Preferred.
